Connell, Ward & Lucas 1934 - 1939

Connell, Ward & Lucas originated as Connell &  Ward an architectural partnership formed in London in 1932 by New Zealand-born graduates of the Bartlett School of Architecture Amyas Douglas Connell (1901-1980) and Basil Robert Ward (1902-1978). In May 1934 * [or 1933 - sources differ] Colin Anderson Lucas (1906-1984) joined the practice which was renamed Connell, Ward & Lucas. The partnership was dissolved in 1939.

* The Dictionary of National Biography entry on Colin Anderson Lucas gives this date when he joined the partnership, however, most sources give the year he joined as 1933. It is possible that he joined in 1933 but did not become a partner until 1934.
