Newborn & Smith was an architectural partnership formed by Charles Reginald Newborn (1878-1930) and George Willie Smith (1883-1958) in London in 1922. the partnership was dissolved following the death of Newborn in 1930.
Motor and carriage works, showrooms and offices at Hitchin, Herts; "The Angles", " The Brambles", " St. John's" and " White Cottage" overlooking Richmond Park; several doctors' houses and other residences at Otford, Hounslow, Bradford, St. Margaret's, Athlone (Ireland), and elsewhere; restoration of Melbourne Lodge (Barnes) and several housing schemes; new squash rackets courts, polo stables and grooms' quarters, additions to polo, golf and tennis pavilions at the Roehampton Club', clothing factories and offices at Hackney; boot factory at Hackney; wharves and warehouses at Shad Thames for proprietors of Butler's Wharf; warehouses for Butler's Wharf; partial rebuilding of London Egg Market (after fire); rebuilding of King's Arms Yard, Coleman Street E.C.: conversion of St. Paul's Chapter House into City Club: and other works.
