Angell, Thomas Graveley 1880 - 1956

Thomas Graveley Angell was born in Kensington, London on 13 February 1880 and was articled to Arthur William Blomfield (1829-1899), Charles James Blomfield (1862-1932) and Arthur Conran Blomfield (1863-1935) of A.W. Blomfield & Sons from 1896 to 1903. He then worked as an assistant to Lewen Sharp (?-1914); to Noel D. Sheffield (1878-1955); to Francis Albert Whitwell; to Charles Mèwes (1860-1914) and Arthur Joseph Davis (1878-1951) of Mèwes & Davis; to John Thomas Lee (1845-1920); and to Stodart, Pine, Griffin & Imrie.

In 1911 he was elected a Licentiate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (LRIBA) and in c.1911 began practising as an architect in London. From c.1912 he was in partnership with George Blair Imrie (1885-1952) as Imrie & Angell.   The practice had an office at 2 Mitre Court Chambers, London. Angell died in Buckinghamshire on 27 May 1956.
