Barton & Boughton

Barton & Boughton [also known as John I. Barton & Goerge Boughton was an architectural partnership formed by John Isaac Barton (1863-1920) and George Boughton (1866-?) in Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire in the late nineteenth century or early years of the twentieth century.  In 1908 they submitted an entry in a competition to design the Middle School for Boys and Girls in Tiverton, Devon.  Their designers are illustrated in British Competitions in Architecture vol. 2, no. 20, February 1909 (pp.256-257).  The partnership was presumably dissolved by 1911 as in that year Boughton was living in Nunhead, England
