Tubbs & Messer was an architectural partnership formed by by Cyril Bazett Tubbs (1859-1927) and Arthur Albert Messer (1863-1934) in 1898. In c.1913-15 Tubbs and Messer were in partnership with (?) Poulter* as Tubbs, Messer & Poulter. George Val Myers (1883-1959) was also a partner in the firm until 1924.
Tubbs & Messer designed several buildings for the London Necropolis and National Mausoleum Company’s Hook Heath Estate in Woking. They also designed Moorhatch in Horsell, Woking (1905); and the West Surrey Golf Club House near Godalming, Surrey (1910).
The practice had offices in London, at 10 The Broadway, Woking, Surrey, at 7 Cantelope Road, Bexhill, Sussex, and possibly also in Newbury, Berkshire.

* Poulter is likely to have been Briant Alfred Poulter (1881-1972) or/and Harry Reginald Poulter (1879-c.1966), both of whom had worked as assistants to Tubbs & Messer in the early 1900s.
