Tubbs, Messer & Poulter

Tubbs, Messer & Poulter originated as Tubbs & Messer, an architectural partnership formed by Cyril Bazett Tubbs (1859-1927) and Arthur Albert Messer (1863-1934) in 1898. In c.1913 (?) Poulter* became a partner. The practice was active from 1913 to c.191515

One of the firm's clients was the stationery chain W. H. Smith for whom they designed premises.

Tubbs, Messer & Poulter had offices in London, at 10 The Broadway, Woking, Surrey, at 7 Cantelope Road, Bexhill, Sussex, and possibly Newbury, Berkshire.  The architect Geoffrey Paxton Ravenor (1893-1916) briefly worked for the firm in 1913-14.

* Proably Briant Alfred Poulter (1881-1972) ar Harry Reginald Poulter (1879-1966), both of whom had worked assistants to Tubbs & Messer
