Clegg Fryers & Penman 1911 - 1913

Clegg Fryers & Penman was a short-lived partnership between the Manchester, England-based architectural firm Charles Clegg & Son formed by Charles Clegg (1828-1922) and his son Charles Theodore Clegg (1861-1930) and the Glasgow, Scotland-based architectural firm Fryers & Penman formed by  Arthur John Fryers (1874-1954) and Larmont Douglas Penman (1868-1931). The partnership was established in 1911 specifically for one project, the design of new premises for the Calico Printers’ Association, Ltd. in Manchester. Following the completion of the project in 1913, Charles Clegg & Son and Fryers & Penman reverted to their original names.
